Karralika Ski Lodge is located at Perisher Valley, N.S.W. and is arguably situated in the most convenient spot on the mountain. Karralika is one of only a handful of ski-in ski-out lodges at Perisher. The lodge nestles among the snowgums located about half way up the front valley ski slope just to the right of the Mitchell t-bar.
The Karralika Board hope you all have had an enjoyable summer season and are now busily planning your winter ski week at Karralika. As usual, winter bookings for members opened on the 1st March and for non-members on the 1st April. Last year we refreshed the bedding at the lodge, this year we are refreshing the lounge room with new furniture with the aid of Lucy Purchas who has very kindly offered her time and expertise. Whilst some may be sad to see our green settee and chairs go we are confident you will be very pleased with the new look. Click to see a photo: New Lounges
Whilst keeping the lodge up to scratch is important, encouraging the sport of skiing is what the club is all about. Owen Keegan is the club's first ski captain in quite a number of years and I'm really excited that Karralika should once again participate in ski racing events. To assist those interested in "having a go" the club will be heavily subsidising the costs of competing, including providing accommodation for the period of the races for members of the ski team. Members and their family are eligible to ski in the Karralika teams.
There will be the usual work party in Autumn to ready the lodge for winter and tidy up the vegetation around the lodge. Please contact Roger Russell if you a keen to lend a hand.
